Welcome to the Lake Travis Powerboat Association (LTPA). Since 1992 our primary goal has been to promote powerboat safety and boater education on Lake Travis. Lake Travis is located just a short drive west of Austin, Texas in the beautiful Central Texas Hill Country. Additionally, we continuously contribute to various selected charities in the area.
It is the tradition for our association to be recognized as a charitable organization. In previous years, we have made substantial donations to The Sunshine Kids, Central Texas SPCA, the Jack Carmody Memorial Scholarship Fund, the 9-11 Disaster fund, Blue & Brown Santa, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Travis County Calf Scramble.
The 2011 season promises to be another year of fun for our members. The lake is in great shape to have plenty of fun. We are planning on six poker runs this year along with a year end party. To make our events more enjoyable with less boat traffic on the lake, our events have been scheduled so they do not interfere with holidays or other major events around town.
Your membership entitles you to various discounts on fuel and many marine supplies through our member marinas, retailers and suppliers.
