It's time for the South Austin Marine's Maritime Boat Brokerage Poker Run.

With the recent rains, Lake Travis is receiving more water to enjoy.  That said, on Saturday, May 19th, we will congregate once again with our friends at Lakeway Marina.  After greetings and salutations, we will head out to Briarcliff for a brief drive-by to pick up the drawing raffle and to refuel, with our discount available to association members.  We will continue on to Volente for some wonderful food and drinks as well as to hang out and enjoy each other's company.  Our last stop will be at Carlos 'n Charlie's for the final card draw by 5:30pm.

Come on out and help support the wonderful charities that assist the kids.

The association has been hard at work coming up with a great calendar of events for the 2012 season.  To allow everyone to get their fill of all the fun this season has to offer, we have picked the following dates for our events:

April 28th
May 19th
June 30th
July 14th
August 18th
September 15th

No matter what the lake levels are or what the weather does, there are kids out there that need our help.  Please join us this season to make 2012 a great year helping the kids in need.  You can find the membership application on our website at: http://www.ltpa.net/membership-app
Simply fill it out online, print it, and send it with your check to us.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone this year.

Welcome to the Lake Travis Powerboat Association (LTPA). Since 1992 our primary goal has been to promote powerboat safety and boater education on Lake Travis.  Lake Travis is located just a short drive west of Austin, Texas in the beautiful Central Texas Hill Country.  We also continuously contribute to various charities benefiting kids in need in the area.

It is the tradition for our association to be recognized as a charitable organization. In previous years, we have made substantial donations to The Sunshine Kids, Central Texas SPCA, the Jack Carmody Memorial Scholarship Fund, the 9-11 Disaster fund, Blue & Brown Santa, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Travis County Calf Scramble.

The 2012 season promises to be another year of fun for our members. The lake is in fine shape to have plenty of fun.  We are planning on six poker runs this year along with a year end party.  To make our events more enjoyable with less boat traffic on the lake, our events have been scheduled so they do not interfere with holidays or other major events around town.

Your membership entitles you to various discounts on fuel and many marine supplies through our member marinas, retailers and suppliers.

Here's to a safe and rewarding summer for all of us!
